Professional answer
Record the time of occurrence, how long it lasts, whether you need to sit up, and whether it is accompanied by chest pain, palpitations, cough, leg swelling, or weight changes, and contact a doctor as soon as possible for evaluation. If the breathing difficulty is ongoing, rapidly worsening, you cannot speak normally, or it is accompanied by chest pain or abnormal consciousness, call emergency services immediately.
