Professional answer

Record daily weight under similar conditions, and also note food and fluid intake, urine output changes, breathing status, leg or abdominal discomfort, and medications. Weight changes can have many causes; do not adjust medications or restrict fluids on your own. If accompanied by significant shortness of breath, chest pain, fainting, or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek emergency evaluation promptly.
