After a cardiovascular interventional procedure, how should I handle not having family or friends to pick me up before scheduling the appointment?

Professional answer
Tell the scheduling team in advance that you live alone or have no one to pick you up. Ask whether the procedure has any requirements for an escort, discharge transportation, or home care, and whether the hospital can help connect you with support services. If you cannot meet the requirements for now, ask the team to assess feasible arrangements or adjust the date. Do not hide this difficulty until the day of the procedure.
